Abstract:
Within the joint project “Efficient micro biogas upgrading plants” (eMicroBGAA) the cost analysis as well as the potential analysis of setting up small-scale upgrading biogas plants was investigated. The intersection of feed-in information concerning biogas plant locations in Germany and biogas potentials with feed-in potentials at the gas distribution level allows an assessment of minimal and maximal potential for small-scale biogas upgrading units. Regarding the economic analysis the production costs for upgrading biogas to biomethane were determined based on a survey of manufacturers of upgrading technologies. For all considered upgrading technologies, the specific costs for biomethane upgrading were investigated.
