Abstract:
Carbon deposition characteristics of Ni-Cu alloy and Ni/CeO2 composite were evaluated. Filamentous carbon was observed on Ni-Cu alloy when Cu contents were less than 50 mol.%. But, no carbon were deposited when Cu contents were 80 mol.% and 100 mol.%. To increase Cu content was effective to reduce the amount of carbon deposition. In the case of Ni-CeO2 composite, no carbon was deposited in the range of the experiments. CeO2 addition may be effective more than Cu addition.
