Abstract:
This preliminary experimental work aims to gain additional insight into the char gasification process in a bubbling fluidized-bed gasifier, as a potential route for obtaining hydrogen destined to bio-oil hydrodeoxygenation. Different operating conditions were tested in order to enhance hydrogen production, which in the best studied case reached 0.26 mol H2/mol C. More work is required to further improve char gasification conversion in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor.
