Abstract:
The dominant bioenergy resource in Poland is woody residues followed by agricultural energy crops and animal slurry. The most promising bioenergy resource lies in the cultivation of energy crops in fallow lands and in areas with low-quality soils. Other sources with high energy potential include grasses from meadows and pastures, as well as residential organic waste. Due to environmental protection requirements, special attention should be paid to developing animal slurry conversion into energy carriers.
