Abstract:
Alkalitalea saponilacus was selected as possible microorganism for the valorisation of carbohydrates in black liquor. The microorganism was isolated and characterised in 2012 and only little is known about growth kinetics and optimal fermentation conditions. Within the presented fundamental research approach we determined growth kinetics for possible black liquor carbohydrates in their monomeric form.
