Abstract:
A waste formation from growth of chicken broiler is increased significantly in Russia as with in all the world. It is chicken manure. There are thermal methods of its treatment except using it as fertilizer. Conventional pyrolysis and torrefaction is marked among its. In this paper the results of experimental studies on conventional pyrolysis and torrefaction of chicken manure are presented. The thermal decomposition process of volatile components from pyrolysis and torrefaction in charcoal medium is studied. The mass balances of pyrolysis and torrefaction before and after cracking of volatile components are calculated. Characteristics of gas mixtures produced at that process are presented. Changing of chicken manure composition before and after thermal treatment is presented. Dependences of product gas composition from temperature of chicken manure heating is obtained. The recommendations on the use of chicken manure for the production of heat and electric energy based on the obtained data are presented.
