Abstract:
The study shows main aspects of biomass transformation into biofuels using gasification-product gas as feedstock. The first part of the study focuses on summing up the main parameters and properties of the gasification product gas and their effect on its further utilization. The second part of the study proposes methods that might be used for product-gas cleaning and purification. The last part focuses on industrial possibilities of bio-syngas (and product gas) transformation into chemicals and other methods of syngas utilization. The paper also states several challenges where the technology can be further improved and made more suitable for industrial use.
