Abstract:
Non-technical combustion of panela cane bagasse generates different issues that promote the search of other ways of treatment. For this, panela cane bagasse gasification was evaluated. A kinetic study was performed considering gasification and pyrolysis stages. Using a thermogravimetric reaction system, experimental procedures were carried out. Pyrolysis experiments involve an atmosphere of nitrogen and different heating rates: 3, 5 and 7 °C/min. Moreover, a three parallel reactions model was used to calculate kinetic parameters of this process. Char gasification experiments seeks to evaluate this process under a reactive atmosphere of water steam, there, different steam concentration was considered: 20, 30 and 50% vol. Char gasification was described under a model that includes the variation of the steam concentration and the temperature of gasification.
