Abstract:
This study is an analyse of the environmental approach of the energetic upgrading related to the biomass in the Algerian oasis `ecosystem (Mzab area case), since it has several assets (availability, variety, an interesting energy asset) despite the environment aridity. Technically, this biomass could provide a variety of bio-fuel of first, second and even third generation. Facing the world greed about the bio-energy, a controversy rose related to the absence of any environmental risks consideration (resources abuse, biodiversity erosion, soil degradation...etc). In this analyse, we will discuss the methodology of a study on the environment impacts mainly the life cycle assessment of the bio-energy production in Algerian oasis ecosystem. This study is an important step which helps in decision taking concerning the proposed upgrading in this study. Since this expertise or eco-appraisal takes into account all the process elements from the resources planting to their final use, our approach is to introduce the available biomass deposit in the oasis as well as the one to be developed and the possible bio-fuels in this area. We also introduced the method of this study, which is the life cycle assessment mainly at the oasis ecosystem.
