Abstract:
Biofuel is a renewable fuel that allows both the reduction of a continuing dependence fossil fuel for the transportation sector and lower GHG emissions. In this sense the objective of our work in the long term, is to market in Algeria species mixed with ethanol produced from the fermentation of non consumable elements of dates. Stages of research: • Feasibility study for this project in Algeria; • Study of the ethanol influence over the properties of Algerian fuels mainly unleaded gasoline ; • Fermentation of rotten of dates to produce the ethanol is on the laboratory phase; • Tests on vehicles of various unleaded gasoline / ethanol mixtures with 5%, 10% and 15%. Also, an analyzes of gases exhausts has been done with a emissions fuels comparison (gasoline, LPG).
