Abstract:
Collective exploration is a particular collective action for innovation. It is characterized by a lack of knowledge that has to be created and high uncertainty. The governance of these relationships is thus critical. How to organize collective exploration for knowledge creation in the context of cluster competitiveness for new bio-based activities, is the purpose of the present article. We advance that knowledge creation needs special governance functions and mechanisms. Different spaces of knowledge exchange have to be governed using complementary mechanisms to create knowledge.
