Abstract:
Improvement of economic efficiency is required for second generation bioethanol production. Fixed cost is approximately half of the production cost even if in large¬ scale ethanol production plant. Therefore, to decrease equipment cost, the ethanol production plant might be established as annex with the existing plant and equipment can be shared. On the other hand, scale of the ethanol plant might be limited by scale of the existing plant. In this study, modeling of establishing as annex is discussed. Production cost is estimated by variable cost that is proportional to production and fixed cost that is a function of scale. And it evaluated scenario of case study. As a result, production cost and limitation of scale could be evaluated quantitatively. For the considering of establishing as annex, the methodology is efficient.
