Abstract:
Aim of this work is the development and construction of a new light system for photo bio reactors to reduce exhaust heating and energy costs of conventional illuminating growth systems on halogen basis. As characteristic illuminant source SMD LEDs (Type LF05CE) became boarded to an acrylic glas plate and were mounted to an aluminum profile with integrated cooling grooves. The acrylic glas system could successfully perform a reduction of lamp induced heating within a seaweed test reactor. In addition several performance measurements, including thermal analysis and radiation, show impressing results in comparism to a former used halogen system. The new concept enables high luminance performance at a low level of electricity consumption and can be extended individually to customer needs..
